Honey Ginger Gin and Tonic
The gin and tonic is one of the most endlessly adaptable cocktails there is — and swapping plain tonic for a splash of Honey Ginger White Balsamic is one of the best upgrades you can make. The balsamic brings warm honey sweetness and a gentle ginger heat that plays beautifully against botanical gin, turning a simple pour into something genuinely interesting. Two ingredients, two minutes, considerably more sophisticated than what comes out of a grocery store mixer bottle.
Recipe: Honey Ginger Gin and Tonic
Makes 1 cocktail
Ingredients:
2 oz gin
1–2 tsp Honey Ginger White Balsamic, or more to taste
3 oz tonic water, or more to taste
2 large ice cubes
2 lemon slices
Fresh lemon thyme sprig or a thin sliver of fresh ginger for garnish
Instructions:
Pour gin into a highball glass over the ice cubes.
Stir in the Honey Ginger White Balsamic, starting with 1 tsp and adding more to taste.
Add lemon slices and your garnish of choice.
Pour tonic water over the top. Stir gently once and serve immediately.
Tasting Note: Start conservative with the balsamic — 1 tsp is subtle and elegant, 2 tsp is noticeably honeyed and warming. Both are excellent depending on what you're after. The Honey Ginger Balsamic also works beautifully stirred into sparkling water with a squeeze of lemon for a non-alcoholic version.
